Peacetime deployment of the regiment in February 1914: Commander - Oberst Carl von Stöhr Regimental Headquarters, Battalions I and IV (Wien), Battalion II (Wiener Neustadt), Battalion III (Sarajevo) superior units: 25th Infantry Division (II Army Corps)
Regimental status in July 1914: National composition: 94% Croats and Serbs (and Bosniaks), 6% others replenishment district: Sarajevo (now Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Regimental enlistment in August 1914: bhIR 1 (I, II, and IV Battalions) in the 49th Infantry Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division (II Army Corps) - a regiment destined for the front in Galicia against Russia III Battalion bhIR 1 in the 10th Mountain Brigade of the 48th Infantry Division (XV Army Corps) - battalion intended for the front in Bosnia and Herzegovina against Serbia

The bosnian-croat from infantry regiment no. 1 was formed to 1. January 1894 of the separate bosnian-hercegovských infantry battalions, namely: - bosnian-hercegovského infantry battalion no 1 (established 1885), - bosnian-hercegovského infantry battalion no. 5 (established 1889), - bosnian-hercegovského infantry battalion no. 9 (established 1892).
