Zemské četnické velitelství č. 1 pro Dolní Rakousy, Horní Rakousy a Solnohradsko v roce 1866 nahradilo dosavadní Četnický pluk č. 1 pro Dolní Rakousy, Horní Rakousy, Solnohradsko, Štýrsko a Korutany. Při celkové reorganizaci četnictva v roce 1873 bylo velitelství rozděleno na Zemské četnické velitelství č. 1 pro Dolní rakousy, na Zemské četnické velitelství č. 11 pro Horní Rakousy a Zemské četnické velitelství č. 16 pro Solnohradsko.
