The squadron commander becomes lieutenant colonel. Ing. Jiří Jogl.
Squadron used to operate helicopters W-3A in the number of seven pieces and secures service of the LZS and SAR two helicopters of the habitat in the Líních and service to the SAR one helicopter from the separated workplace from Prerov after 24 hours a day.
This is able to ensure coverage of the whole territory of the CZECH republic in the case of the quest for civil and military aircraft in distress.

In the context of large-scale reorganization of the armed forces of the CZECH republic Squadron air search and rescue service from 01. 01. 2004 gets to the subordination of 23. base helicopter of the air force as her estranged 233. amphibious squadron...
