CBU-59/B Rockeye II

Containerized bomb against infantry and lightly armored targets. Incendiary potential. Weight 348 kg. Contains 717 BLU-77/B submunitions in Mk 7 dispenser. In use since the 1970s. 186 of these bombs were dropped in Desert Storm.

The CBU-59/Bs are ready to be USS Coral Sea aboard A-6E Intruder Squadron VA-55 "Warhorses." A few hours after this photo was taken, they landed at Libya's Benin Airfield during El Dorado Canyon.
