Troops of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic


They were established on 01.01.1993 on the basis of the Slovak Government Resolution No. 102 of 09.02.1993 from the units and facilities of the federal Troops of the Ministry of the Interior stationed on the territory of the Slovak Republic. The troops were subordinated to the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.


Composition:
- Civil Protection Troops,
- Border Police troops of the Slovak Police Corps,
- guard companies of the troops of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic
- Sports Company of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.


Planned numbers of personnel:
1) Civil Protection Troops
- 817 officers
- 166 warrant officers
- 2100 non-commissioned officers and men
- 418 civilian staff
- 527 employees (at district offices and the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic)


2) troops of the Border Police of the Police Corps of the Slovak Republic
- 124 police officers
- 1630 non-commissioned officers and men
- 5 civilian staff


3) the Department of Management of Guard Companies and Guard Companies of the Troops of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic Slovenská Ľupča, Laskar, Topoľčianky, Bratislava
- 18 officers
- 4 warrant officers
- 226 non-commissioned officers and men
- 1 civilian worker


4) Sports Company of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic
- ???? (the numbers were determined on the basis of the concept of top sport of the Slovak Republic).



The troops of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic were abolished as of 31.12.2002 by transforming the CO troops into the structures of the Fire and Rescue Corps.
