Prototype of the Lancet Type 53 staging UAV Russian company Zala Aero, belonging to the Kalashnikov concern, has introduced an improved version of the Lancet - Product 53 (Ланцет Изделие-53). The folding-wing version is transported, stored and fired from a cylindrical-shaped box. The Lancet 53 is reportedly capable of operating and cooperating with other UAVs flying in a flock. Aljeksandr Zakharov (Aleksandr Zakharov), the company's chief designer and owner, did not provide further details or when mass production would begin.
