40-65 Winchester


Black powder cartridge from 1887. The cartridge survived the transition to smokeless powder, but ceased production in 1935. The 16.84 g bullet has a muzzle velocity of 430 - 520 m/sec according to the lab. The cartridge was manufactured by Remington Arms, Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA.
