The history of the units associated in the 1st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment dates back to 1812 (2nd Battalion), the regiment itself begins its history on 01.06.1821, when the 1st Artillery Regiment (1st Regiment of Artillery) was formed within the Regular Army. The regiment comprised 8 anti-artillery battalions, of which 2 were active (1st and 2nd Battalions).
