In November 2022, the Ukrainian government announced the development of a Ukrainian remotely operated strike craft designated MAGURA V5 (Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus version 5). Acquisition cost 10 million hryvnia (about 273 thousand USD at the current exchange rate).
The model of the ship was presented to the public in Istanbul at the International Defense Industry Fair IDEF-2023.
Composition
Unmanned vessel equipped with autopilot, optoelectronic subsystems including night vision, backup communications modules and a warhead.
Ground control station with data processing centre.
Transport vehicles and storage facilities in the rear.
Assignment
Remotely operated surface vessel designed to perform a variety of tasks: surveillance, reconnaissance, patrol, search and rescue, mine countermeasures, protection of other vessels, and solo combat missions.
