Lieutenant-Colonel Grigory Nikolayevich DMITRIEV
Born 22.11.1877, he was Orthodox by religion. He received home education. He joined the army on 1.9.1901. He graduated from the infantry junker school in St. Petersburg (1905). He was discharged from the school as a second lieutenant (22.04.1905) in the 90th Onezh Infantry Regiment. Later he served in the 81st Infantry Regiment. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant on 09.08.1908, to the rank of staff captain on 09.08.1912. Graduated from the Tsar Nikolaev Military Academy (1912; 1st class). After graduating from the academy, he was assigned to his (81st Infantry) regiment for 1 year to command a company by order of the General Staff No. 27, 1913. Participant in the World War. Promoted to the rank of captain on 09.08.1914 with simultaneous transfer to the General Staff and appointment as ober-officer for commissions at the headquarters of the 3rd Caucasian Army Corps (16.11.1914 - 05.12.1915). From 05.12. to 14.12.1915 he was acting staff officer at the headquarters of the 24th Army Corps. Acting staff officer at the headquarters of the 3rd Caucasus Army Corps (14.12.1915 - 15.08.1916). Promoted to lieutenant colonel on 15.08.1916. Acting Chief of Staff of the 154th Infantry Division (from 09.02.1917). Acting Chief of Staff of the 52nd Infantry Division (from 14.08.1917).
After 1918 he transferred to the Red Army, from 26.11.1918 to 24.12.1918 he was Chief of Staff 18th Rifle Division. According to the photo below, dated 1928, he was a lecturer at the "Eject" courses at the time. His subsequent fate and date of death are unknown.

According to the tabs on his neck, he has the rank of K-8 (assistant regimental commander).
By way of explanation, before the introduction of ranks in the Red Army in September 1935, from 1918 to 1935, members of the army were appointed to specific positions (brigade commander, corps commander, etc.), which corresponded to categories - from 0 (soldier) to 14 (commander of a district, army, front).
