In the days of 12. - 15. 2. 2007 prostějov airport conducted troop tests of the use of the helicopter Mi-171Š to výsadkům and at the same time, it was examined the emergency departure of the machine from the cockpit. All week the paratroopers of all services of the ACR tried different ways of exiting a helicopter. They trained not only the instructors of the parachute training, but also the athletes of Dukla and 1. the airborne company from Chrudim. Helicopter Mi-171Š is able to carry 24 people, 19 paratroopers of specialists with a parachute-type wing and 14 paratroopers with full equipment.

"All 14 fully armed paratroopers is able to leave the helicopter in one of the raid right and left of the door apart from a helicopter Mi-17 which has only one door," explained captain Petr Štěpán from the CZECH Ministry of defence.

During the past week 40 paratroopers took place more than 170 jumps with different types of parachutes, such as the rescue of the airborne services, the chutes with a circular cap for the mechanized units, special parachutes for scouts, sports parachutes of the type of wing, cargo parachutes and also emergency parachutes for pilots of aircraft. From helicopter Mi-171Š so can be carried out air dropping of all established types of parachute in the Army of the Czech republic," said major Roman Nettle of the joint force command Headquarters of the Army.
