It was a separate battalion píseckého engineer regiment 2. The battalion was stationed in the Holy Good, specifically in the part, which is called Kvaň, where náchazel camp for prisoners and people intended for transfer. For them here have been set up wooden huts, into which they were now placed members of this work unit. The camp was referred to as "kasaárna on Kvani" or Holy cross, or Santa Cruz.

Members of the battalions performed construction work, especially in a military training camp Jincheon, or without the use of mechanization of mining the stone, which then were built such as the tank area.

To 1. November 1948 boarded the first recruits, from which it was built by one company. The second company was established in October 1949.
