LINE OF COMPETENCE
A defined line of several points in the terrain in the enemy's rear used to provide synergy with the enemy's own reconnaissance, flanking detachment, or special detachment. Normally established during night combat operations or in mountainous and wooded terrain. Signals and signals are provided for mutual identification when the established line is reached.
