The MCP (Mistral Coordination Post) is used for radar reconnaissance and fire control of units armed with Mistral SSBNs (SATCP, ALBI, ATLAS), with a single wingman capable of directing the fire of up to 11 sets. The first version was introduced in 1991.
The means integrated on an all-terrain vehicle (e.g., Panhard VBL 4x4) includes:
- Oerlikon Contraves SHORAR reconnaissance radar,
- Combat Control Station,
- equipment for data transmission to subordinate complexes,
- an information system for sharing information with the superior stage.
In the Hungarian Armed Forces, the MCP is integrated on a Mercede Benz Unimog light truck (in the photo behind the vehicle, the radar antenna is painted with camouflage ST-68)
