In the last part, we described the development and basic variants of the British Rapier system. However, the British constantly paid attention to improving its capabilities and tried to sell the system to foreign customers. They were successful in both of these activities.

As this topic is proving to be increasingly relevant for the Czech Republic (especially recently), I will try to outline and clearly explain the history, development, structure and composition of the "United States Missile Defense". In Part 1 we will talk about the history and development of PRO in the USSR and the USA.

Part 2 contains information on the current structure and principle of US missile defense.

The third part begins with a brief description of the individual elements of the NMD system of the United States of America. It will discuss sensors (DSP, SBIRS and STSS satellites; PAVE PAWS, SSPARS, COBRA DANE, COBRA JUDY, COBRA GEMINI, GLOBUS II early warning radars) and start countermeasure systems (YAL-1A ABL; KEI; GMD - XBR, SBX) .

The fourth and final part, dealing with a comprehensive United States missile defense system. In this work, we will complete the characteristics of the countermeasure elements and their respective sensors.
