The Mazaalai (Мазаалай) is an armoured vehicle produced by the Mongolian Armaments Factory, which was unveiled on 05 July 2021 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Mongolian Armed Forces (the anniversary falls on 11 July). The Mazaalaj (Gobi Bear, Ursus arctos gobiensis) is a light armoured vehicle armed with a machine gun in an open firing range with 4x4 drive.
Other assets that the Mongolian defense industry has modified for the military were also presented as part of the equipment presentation - the Chono light tactical vehicle (ЧОНО, translated as Wolf) and Chilencet (ХИЛЭНЦЭТ, translated as Scorpion). Along with the Chono vehicle, the Jol-1 (Ёл-1) light unmanned reconnaissance vehicle (also of Mongolian origin) was also presented.
