history
In 1918 there is a plan for the formation of the squadron in Egypt as a bomber unit, but after several postponements, was canceled.
For the first time arises 17.10.1941 initially as a transport and later bombing unit, but due to the shortage of flight personnel and aircraft (plánovano armed drones Liberator) never became operational and 15.02.1943 is dissolved.
05.09.1944 is restored at the base of the Croydon as a transport and in this role it acts until its dissolution 13.09.1946.
The last time is activated 01.02.1953 at the base of the Abingdon and carried out long-distance transport fighters from Canada and Great Britain on base in Germany, Middle and Far east. 15.09.1958 terminates the merger is 167. squadrons of the RAF.
