SST-4 mod 0 torpedoes were the armament of Argentine submarines during the Falklands/Malvinas conflict. Due to neglected inspection, maintenance and improper storage in the pre-deployment period, as well as a design flaw where part of the torpedoes had the gyroscope reversed (a mistake caused during the maintenance of the torpedoes in Argentina), their deployment ended in failure.
