The Special Group of Troops under the command of Colonel-General Khozin was created by order of the Headquarters of the Supreme Command № 46025 dated 30.01.1943 from the troops of the 2nd Reserve Army. Its mission was to break the enemy Demjan grouping during the Demjan offensive operation, as well as to develop the offensive in the direction of Kingisepp and Narva. She took an active part in the fighting during the blockade of Leningrad.


It included 1st Panzer Army and 68th Army.
