Chlodomer was born in 494 or 495 as the third son of franského king Chlodvíka Even. and his second wife, Chrodechildy. After his father's death in the year 511 received in the division of the kingdom area Sens, Tours and the northern part of the Aquitaine. The capital of this part was Orleans.

In the year 523 to Chlodomer, together with the brothers Childebertem Even. and Chlotharem Even. try to occupy Burgundy, on which float the claim on the basis of origin of their mothers. They tried to take advantage of the weakening of the burgundy kingdom as a result of conflict with Ostrogóty and initially part of Burgundy occupied. However, Burgundové teamed up with Ostrogóty and together Franky in the battle of Vézeronce beat. Chlodomer in this battle he lost his life. His brothers split up his territory. Chlothar I. moreover, he married his wife Guntheucou and killed his two older sons Theudoalda and Gunthara. His youngest son Chlodoald was saved and survived thanks to the ecclesiastical career.
