Rummaging through our extensive archive we came across this very poignant #WW1 photograph. It’s titled “Leaving for the Somme” and shows officers of B Coy, 1st Bn, South Wales Borderers in June 1916. Of the eight men in the picture, two were killed and four wounded in the July. pic.twitter.com/9sGcN1jG1W
