On the photos is my wife's great-uncle Arpád Romhányi, who survived World War I. He fought in the rank of a senior non-commissioned officer /normester/ in the 13th Zemebranec infantry regiment of the Hanoverians. "13. honvéd gyalogezred III.plsz. /Pozsony/"
He was sent to the front probably in 1915-1916. KUK Ettappenpostamt 259
He fought on Polish territory in Lieutenant General of Infantry Szurmay's group. / K.u.K. Korpstrainpark No. 4/5 Gruppe FMLT.v. SZURMAY.
His postal address in Polish territory was: KUK Feldpostamt 209. He was wounded in Poland and was treated in a military hospital in Rzeszów.
After the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, he stayed permanently in Hungary.

Memorial of the 13th Honvéd Infantry Regiment Pozsonyi 13. honvéd gyalogezred
The memorial is erected in the town of Mosonmagyarovar, which lies about 25 km from Bratislava. Nowadays, the memorial has been restored and is being reconstructed.
