There is no record attesting to the allocation of the emblem of the squadron VA-1E. Squadron apparently continued to use the character, who was 18. 7. 1945 assigned Torpedo squadron 41.

VA-1E bola priradená na palubu lietadlovej lode Badoeng Strait (CVE-116) (spolu s celou palubnou skupinou CVEG-1) s úlohou vyhľadávať a ničiť nepriateľské ponorky (Antisubmarine Warfare - ASW). Túto úlohu - vyhľadávať a ničiť ponorky v rámci protiponorkového boja (Hunter-Killer ASW) peruť plnila aj v nasledujúcich dvoch rokoch pozdĺž pobrežia Kalifornie.
