In addition to the development of the ZIK-20 self-propelled gun, there was a renewed effort to use a powerful 152 mm cannon Br-2 model 1935 on the ZIK-20 platform. Behind the design was the lead designer of the newly created Plant No. 9 F.F. Petrov.
However, even this effort came to naught and the project was not implemented.
