The Gibka-S anti-aircraft missile system 9K334 is a vehicle designed to provide combat support to squads and platoons with portable anti-aircraft missile sets. The system provides reconnaissance of the air situation by its own radar, reception and transmission of information on the air situation by automated means of command, and issuance of firing tasks to subordinate antiaircraft gunnery squads.
The anti-aircraft gunners' combat vehicle 9A332 and the reconnaissance and command post of the platoon commander 9S937 are the result of the development work of the Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau KBM in cooperation with the companies NPP Rubin, OAO Saratov Instrument Plant, State Ryazan Instrument Plant Inc, FGUP Scientific Research Institute of Applied Acoustics, VNII Signal and FGUP GosNIIAS.
The two main assets were presented at the Armija 2016 exhibition in the non-public part of the exhibition center, they were presented to the public for the first time in 2017. The military trials were completed in 2019. Essentially, it is a further development of the Strelec system, with the ability to use not only the missiles of the Igla and Igla-S kits, but also the Verba kit. Both vehicles are built on the chassis of the VPK-233114 Tigr-M (ВПК-233114 Тигр-М or ABŠ-233116) armored car. The 9A332 combat vehicle has a total of 8 missiles, 4 of which are ready to fire and the other 4 are mounted. In addition to the missiles, the vehicle also carries 2 launchers. The crew consists of a squad leader, a driver-mechanic and 2 gunner-operators. If deployed in a stationary firing position, one squad can conduct fire with three assets simultaneously (vehicle, 2 x portable set).
The 9S937 squad leader's command and reconnaissance post is equipped with a 1L122 radar with a range of 40 km and can control up to 6 9A332 combat vehicles and 4 9S9351) automated command system sets. The crew is a three-man crew - commander, operator-commander, driver-mechanic.
1) The 9S935 (9С935) is quite an interesting little thing - it consists of several small blocks, which the gunner has arranged differently on a modular support system. In addition to the batteries and mini-computer, it contains a navigation system receiver, a radio for receiving and transmitting data and voice information, and most importantly, a display module that mounts to the helmet and, when folded into the field of view of one eye, provides a display of air situation data, etc. It is part of the Barnaul-T (Барнаул-Т)
Tactical-level automated air defense command and control system (Bарнаул-Т)
