history / History
The direct predecessor of the unit was 116. squadron formed in 1938 and dissolved in the year following.
Restored 28. June 1941 on the base of Dartmouth in nova scotia, and until the end of the 2. world war ii was primarily carried out anti-submarine patrols and escorts convoys in the east coast of Canada, over the northwest Atlantic and in the gulf of st. Lawrence. With the end of the war was 20. June 1945 disbanded.
