Y-12 (I): twin-engine transport year, powered by 2x 500-shp (373-kW) Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-11 the weight forces (prototype)

Y-12 (II): twin-engine transport aircraft, powered by 2x PT6A-27.

Y-12 (III): planned version for engines of WJ-9, it has evolved into a version of the S-12C.

Y-12 (IV): Improved version. Redesigned wing (margin increased to 19.2 m) and was increased takeoff weight. It has 19 passenger seats. This is the first plane in the series certified by the FAA in 1995.

Y-12C: IN principle, Y-12 (IV) with engines of WJ-9, now used PLAAF for aerial survey.

S-12D: the Military version with upgraded engines propelling the čtyřlisté propeller, which now uses the PLA Airborne Corps for the training of paratroopers.

Y-12E: Option with 18 passenger seats. Engines PT6A-135A with the same power but increased torque that drives čtyřlisté propeller. Version has been certified by the FAA in 2006.

Y-12F: most Recently revised type: wider fuselage, new wings, retractable landing gear and more powerful engines PT6A-65B. Has a higher cruise speed, greater range and can accommodate 19 passengers or 3 LD3 containers. Development began in April 2005, the liaison occurred 29. December 2010. Certification type CAAC machine received 10. December 2015, and FAA certification 22. February 2016. Flight testing of automatic flight control system the FAA has completed 30. June 2018.

Y-12G: a Proposed cargo version of the Y-12F.

Turbo Panda: the Export name for the (II) version is placed on the market in England and japanese companies. But there has been no sampling due to lack of a certificate of airworthiness.

Twin Panda: Originally (II) version for export. Later modified to Y-12 (IV) powered by two turboprop engines Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34 and equipped with a raised undercarriage, upgraded avionics and interior. By the year 2000 was reportedly taken thirty-five orders, but their production probably was not implemented.
