1. infantry brigade arrived in the New York on board the ship USS Mobile 3. September, 1919, after nine months of occupation service in the area around the German Koblenz. 10. September in the city participated in the festive parade and then went to Washington, where 17. September took part in another show. The brigade was then stationed in maryland Camp George G. Meade where has been through demobilization to the peaceful states. After she was redislokována in kentucky Camp Zachary Taylor in which arrived 4. October 1919. Won't there too long, because in September 1920 was moved to newjerseyského Camp Dix and in September 1922 and then to new york, Fort Wadsworth. Her subordinate regiments were deployed in the area of the city New York. The whole brigade took part in the festive show 1. division 3. October of 1924. 23. march 1925 was 1. infantry brigade renamed to 1. part-time job. To 10. October 1931 was the headquarters of the brigade moved to Whitehall Street in New York. Headquarters is at the same time moved to Fort Jay. She couldn't stand here too long, for 13. February 1934 přesunulůa to Whitehall Street, 31. August 1935 in Miller Field, and 3. January 1938 back to Fort Wadsworth. Even the headquarters of the brigade was left at Whitehall Street for too long. To 8. April 1933 it was moved to Camp Dix, where assumed the management of the Southern circle of the Civil corps protection of nature in 2. choral area, who worked in the states New Jersey and Delaware. This feature, while brigade headquarters exercised only within 30. October 1934, however, in the Camp Dix remained up to 29. August 1935, when they returned to Whitehall Street. To 24. August 1936 was 1. brigade renamed back to 1. infantry brigade. Brigade headquarters was 21. April 1938 moved once again to Fort Wadsworth. Each may have undergone the units of the brigade of the pedestrian movement of its crews to the Camp Dix here to provide assistance in the organization of summer camps for Civil military training camp, for the Training corps reserve officers and for walking components of the 77. division and 78. division, which were the auxiliary division of the New York and New Jersey. Units of the brigade at the same time at the end of the summer, have undergone marksmanship and tactical training, then at the beginning of the autumn hard-fought back to their crews.
