V Urzufe sídli jedna z jednotiek Útvaru špeciálneho určenia Azov (пункт постійної дислокації №7), podľa niektorých zdrojov je tu sídlo aj samotného veliteľstva útvaru a útvar tu prevádzkuje aj výcvikový priestor.


Zatiaľ sa mi nepodarilo dohľadať konkrétnu adresu, ale medzi Urzufom a Berďanskom sa nachádza bývalý výcvikový priestor PVO 8. armády letectva a PVO 46°52'45.08"N 36°59'58.95"E (lenže ten priestor už leží v okrese Berďansk).
