The beginning of the existence of the brigade is linked with the date of 1.1.2000, when the services of the anti-aircraft defense switched after the reorganisation and redislokačních changes to the brigade command system. The brigade is stationed in two garrisons, in the Strakonice and Rožmitál pod Třemšínem. - fulfil the obligations arising from our membership in NATO and inclusion in the integrated air defence system of the Alliance
Since its inception the brigade builds on the best traditions of the former anti-aircraft regiments, which on the major training exercises - for example, Clean Hunter, and a Common Goal - demonstrated a high degree of vycvičenosti and the required synergies and no less successfully performed even in combat shooting to the polygon of the Polish air defense in the Baltic sea. Currently the team works with the partner services of the Bundeswehr and the Dutch army, whose experience help even faster and kvalifikovanějšímu procedure of the brigade during its inclusion into the defensive structures of air defense Alliance.
About the importance and relevance of the brigade in the assembly of the CZECH air force is also evidenced by the visit to headquarters of brigades, groups and units, the top officials at the ARMY and senior officials of the foreign armies. In the recent past has honored territory of the brigade and the city of Strakonice his visit to the president of the CZECH republic Havel, who inspected the anti-aircraft set of Kub and met with the training units.
