Note:
¹⁾ (11.12.1901-08.02.1983). This is how he is listed in the March 1939 schematism (Rocznik Oficerski 1939). Zarzycki, Maksimiec and Przemsza-Zieliński mention Gorecki. After the destruction of the battery he fell into German captivity. After the war he returned to Poland and lived in Katowice. For fighting in September 1939 he was awarded the Silver Cross Order of Virtuti Militari (No. 12,458). His report on the fighting of the 3rd Battery is kept at the Instytut Polski i Muzeum im. gen. Sikorski in London.
²⁾ (12.06.1911-10.09.1939). From 24.08.1939 he was the liaison officer of the detachment. On the night of 03./04.09.1939 with part of the liaison platoon and the 3rd battery he lost contact with the rest of the brigade. On 06.09.1939 he was sent to make contact with the brigade, but according to the first internet source he was killed near Busko-Zdrój on 10.09.1939 (he is buried in Staszów). The second internet source states that he fell on 06.09.1939 in the village of Bogucice, where he is also buried.
³⁾ (19.10.1905-24.05.1996). Master of Law. According to Zarzycki, he was missing since 05.09.1939 when he did not return from reconnaissance. According to internet source No. 1, he was killed(?) on 18.09.1939 in battle near the village of Szarowola. According to internet source no. 2 he was only wounded in this battle, he survived the war, but his fate during the war is unknown. He is not listed in the POW list. After the war, a prominent Polish historian of law and economy, university professor, doctor honoris causa. He died on 24.05.1996 in Szczecin.

⁴⁾ (14.08.1914-DD.MM.1995). On 19.09.1939 he was wounded in battle near the village of Szarowola and avoided capture. After his recovery he joined the armed resistance under the code name Radwan in the ranks of the Union of Armed Struggle and later Provincial Army. In 1944 he was on the staff of the 27th Infantry Division of the Land Army, with which he took part in the liberation battles around Vilna. In August 1944 he was arrested by the NKVD and detained in Soviet labour camps until 03.11.1947. Then he was repatriated to Poland. He was awarded the Silver Cross Order of Virtuti Militari (No. 12 933) for his activities in the resistance at the rank of captain.
As the battery was mobilized in the March Alarm Mobilization, ⁵⁾ it was only able to field one platoon on war footing. This was its 1st Platoon, but the name of the commander at this time is not given in the sources.
⁶⁾ (03.12.1915-DD.MM.YYYY). Listed as a second lieutenant in the POW list. On 03.09.1939, one gun under his command was detached from the battery for anti-tank defence of the body turret and he lost contact with the battery. On 05.09.1939, he and the gun joined 2nd Battery and returned to his battery on 14.09.1939. After the destruction of the battery he was in German captivity from 20.09.1939.
⁷⁾As the battery was mobilized in the March Alarm Mobilization, it was only able to field one platoon on war footing. During this period, its II Platoon was the 1st Platoon of the 1st Battery, supplemented on war stocks, but it returned to its battery on 28 August 1939 and was replaced by a platoon of the newly mobilized 1st Battery. During this period the platoon commander was probably Lt. Koziorowski.
⁸⁾ (17.05.1914-DD.MM.YYYY). Zarzycki lists him as the commander of II Platoon. Przemsza-Zieliński lists Halewski as the officer of the replacement battery of the detachment. Internet source No. 1 lists him as an officer of the 5th Troop of Mounted Artillery. From DD.09.1939 in German captivity.
⁹⁾ (DD.MM.19RR-25.09.1939). Maksimiec, Przemsza-Zieliński and internet source No. 1 list him as the commander of II. platoon. After the destruction of the battery, he probably evaded capture and, according to Internet source No. 1, was killed on 25.09.1939 in the village of Nowa Wieś.
