It was part of Army Group Centre and took part in the fighting at Moscow in late 1941 and early 1942. It fought its way out of encirclement and participated in the fighting at Vitebsk.
Later it was withdrawn via Lithuania (08/1944 - 10/1944) and fought in the Battle of Memel in late 1944.
She was then reassigned to the Army Group Visla and fought at Stettin and the Oder in 02/1945.
Surrendered to the Americans.
