Engineer Group Headquarters IX [1936-1937]


The command was established on 12 June 1936. It was located in Domažlice and from November 1936 in Prague, under the Directorate of Fortification Works [1935-1939]. The command was supposed to be responsible for the construction of heavy fortifications in Šumava (the Capartice, Česká Kubice, Maxov, Nýrsko and Všeruby fortifications, 23 isolated infantry logs in total), but this project was cancelled.
The Engineer Group Headquarters included:
A headquarters with an economic administration and an auxiliary platoon.
The headquarters was abolished on 18 April 1937.


The commander of the Engineer Group Command was:
Captain Zdenek Hlavsa (June 1936 - April 1937).
