Einsatzkommando I Budweis
Operations Section I České Budějovice
Commander: SS-Sturmbannführer Government Councillor Heinz Stossberg
Deputy Commander: Criminal Commissioner Hubert Ziemer
This task force had its embarkation area in Linz, from which it set off for České Budějovice. Its men were mainly members of the Gestapo from Karlovy Vary. Stossberg was the head of the Gestapo office in Karlovy Vary, Ziemer was the head of the outdoor service in Chomutov. In Budejovice, the detachment settled in the building of the police headquarters.
A subordinate operations squad, headed by Crime Commissioner Heinrich Reiser, was sent to Tábor. His deputy was SS-Sturmscharführer Chief Criminal Assistant August Giehl.
The operational squad, which belonged to the Pilsen detachment and was to leave Kötzting for Klatovy, was also transferred to the command of the České Budějovice detachment. However, the plan was thwarted by the weather and this squad, led by the criminal councillor Heinrich Winkelhofer, also set off in the direction of České Budějovice, from where it continued to the alternate post in Písek.
