The I34 (И34) combat vehicle is the firing vehicle of the Lučnik-E (Lučnik-E) anti-aircraft missile complex. Practically, it is a 9A34M3 / 9A35M3 chassis used in the PLRK 9K35M3 Strela-10M3 with an upgraded superstructure using elements developed under the Strelec project. The vehicle (and the entire kit) was developed by KBM primarily for export. The superstructure is equipped with new control and firing blocks, an optronic observation block, and universal firing modules (sources differ here, some giving 3 modules, others only 2 modules1), the manufacturer's official site does not mention the number of modules) with a total of 8 9M39 / 9M342 missiles used in the Igla-S portable anti-aircraft missile suite (NATO code SA-24 Grinch). The optoelectronic sighting unit allows manual and automatic target acquisition and tracking via infrared and television targeting channels, and has a laser rangefinder to measure the target's range. It is also equipped with a backup optical sight with magnification.
An additional 8 missiles and 16 spare power supplies are carried inside the vehicle, along with two 9P522 launchers (Igla-S). As such, the vehicle allows only one target to be shot at a time, either on arrival or departure. The firing can be conducted sequentially, or by a salvo of two missiles (one each from the left and right side of the superstructure). Using the 9P522 launcher (e.g. driver and commander), up to 3 targets (1 x vehicle, 2 x gunners) can be fired simultaneously from a stationary firing position.
The combat vehicle can operate independently, in the Lučnik-E set-up, or in cooperation with other short-range assets (with mutually compatible means of command and communication - e.g. 9S737MK Ranjir-MK (9S737MK Ranjir-MK), PPRU-M1 (PPRU-M1), PU-12 ([iaa]PU-12), etc.). It is designed to defend small-scale objects and military units from air attacks, while enabling the shooting of a wide range of air targets (cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, aircraft) in day and night and also under jamming conditions. Fire can be conducted from a position and on the move (up to 20 km/h) in both manual and automatic modes.
Range: full-circle
Aim: -15°-70°
Min. tracking and targeting distance: 4,5 km (cruise missile, unmanned aerial vehicle) / 6 km (helicopter) / 10 km (aircraft)
Reaction time: up to 8,5 s
Combat deployment / roll to marching position: up to 3 min
Time to reload (8 missiles, 2 persons): up to 15 min
Full usability after power-on (from fully off): up to 3 min
For checking the correct operation of the missiles and launchers, the standard technical means designed for the Igla-S PLRK (mobile control station 9V866-2 and test instruments 9F917-2) are used; for checking and maintenance of the vehicle itself, the 288.30.00.000 kit is used.
The 1) Strelec combat module allowed 2 missiles to be attached to a single module and a total of up to 4 modules to be combined into a set, with one missile able to be used simultaneously in each module.
