After years of using German self-propelled works StuG III Ausf. G, which acquired by Spain in 1943 an attempt was made to use the platform to develop carriers of new and more powerful armaments. The mounting of the Spanish 105 mm howitzer Reinosa R-43 (L/26) was considered. Two design proposals were created. The superstructure of the original StuG III was to be removed and a howitzer was to be mounted on the platform. One proposal counted on the orientation of the weapon forward, the other backward. The main armament was to be supplemented by secondary armament consisting of a defensive machine gun. The sources are inconsistent. Some state that a prototype/demonstrator on the StuG III platform was to be created at the Escuela de Aplicacion y Tiro de Artilleria in Carabanchel. It is possible that the self-propelled gun could have a mounted Soviet 122 mm gun. It is said that there was also a proposal to mount German 88 mm caliber cannons. The designs probably did not exceed the drawing designs.
