Eisenstadt-Trausdorf Airport


The airport was established by the Austrian army in 1936 on the site that was first used for landing aircraft in 1913.
After the occupation of Austria, the Luftwaffe gradually expanded it. It served as a satellite area of Wiener Neustadt Airport mainly for training units.
At the end of the war it was occupied by Soviet troops, who were stationed there until 1955. It was then briefly used by the Austrian armed forces. It was subsequently handed over to the local aeroclub.
Closed in 1994.
