In December 1942, the Azerbaijani Infantry Battalion 807 was assembled in occupied Poland from volunteers, deserters and prisoners of war coming from Azerbaijan; its training was directed by the Azerbaijani Legion.
From January 1943, he was in charge of security duties, including counter-guerrilla operations in the Bryansk region of western Russia. In November of that year, he was transferred to occupied southern France, where he operated in the Cavalaire-sur-Mer area in the canton of Saint-Tropez with the 242nd Infantry Division. In April 1944, it became part of it as the IV Battalion of Grenadier Regiment 765 and, together with this division, was destroyed during an Allied airborne raid in August 1944.
