In the Mustang over Burma and China - Col. James John England

The engines of the Allison-powered version of the legendary Mustang aircraft are unjustifiably neglected in the history of the Air War of 1939-1945. They experienced limited combat use - but they survived with honor. The most successful deployment in the US Air Force took place over Burma, the most victories were won by James J. England, who then ended his war career in the Chinese sky.
