On 30.12.2021, an agreement was signed between the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense (in the form of an exchange of Letters of Offer and Acceptance) for the additional delivery of two additional Boeing KC-46A Pegasus refueling aircraft (in addition to the two already ordered), valued at US$1.1 billion (including the cost of technical support, training, and related supplies and services). This amount will be paid from the US military aid package to Israel. As part of the above agreement, the delivery of 12 CH-53K King Stallion helicopters worth $2 billion is also included.
