On behalf of the republic of Czechoslovakia, Germany, the United states of america, Austria, Belgium, Brasilia, Great Britain, Canada, the Free state of Ireland, India, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, Spain, Estonia, Abyssinia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, the Netherlands, Persia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Salvador, Siam, Sweden, Switzerland, the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, Turkey, Uruguay and Venezuela was sjednántento protocol:
The undersigned plnomocníci on behalf of their governments : bearing in mind that the use of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases, as well as all such liquids, materials or devices in warfare, was rightly condemned by public opinion civilisovaného of the world, bearing in mind that the prohibition of this use was expressed in the treaties which the contracting parties most of the powers of the world, and intend to cause was widely recognized as a part of international law, this prohibition, which enforces the same conscience as prakse nations,
declare
that the High contracting parties, if they are not already bound by the treaties prohibiting such use, recognize this prohibition, agree to this prohibition of use was extended to the war funds bacteriological, and coincide in it, that are considered to be bound to each other according to the provisions of this declaration.
The high contracting parties shall make every endeavour to induce other states to accede to this Protocol. Such an approach will be notified to the government of the republic of the French, and this all the powers that signed the Protocol or acceded to. This Protocol, whose lyrics French and English are authentic, will be ratified as soon as possible. It will be dated today's date.
Ratification of this Protocol will be sent to the government of the republic of the French, which inform about their imposition of each of the four powers, which signed the Protocol on or approached him.
Instruments of ratification or on access will remain deposited in the archives of the government of the republic of the French.
This Protocol comes into scope for each of the powers, which it has signed, starting with the date when it was imposed on its ratification, and from that moment will this power committed to the other powers which have already deposited their ratification.

Prozkoumavše this Protocol we approve and confirm it with the reservation that the Czechoslovak republic will cease ipso facto to be bound by this Protocol towards any state whose armed power or the armed power of his allies would be hastening to the prohibitions in the Protocol contained.

Declares that the instrument of ratification of the czechoslovak was deposited in the archives of the government of the republic of the French on 16. August, 1938, and that date entered into the Protocol efficiency for the republic Czechoslovak against the other powers which have already deposited their ratification.
Protocol are not yet bound by the following states : Germany, Belgium, the Empire of the British, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Union, Ireland, India, Iraq, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Denmark, Egypt, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Iran, Italy, Latvia, Liberia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, the Netherlands (with Dutch India, Suriname and Curacaem), Poland, Portugal, Romania, Siam, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Venezuela and Yugoslavia.

Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use in War of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or Other Gases, and of Bacteriological Methods of Warfare[/heading]
Signed at Geneva June 17, 1925
The Undersigned Plenipotentiaries, in the name of their respective Governments:
Whereas the use in war of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases, and of all analogous liquids, materials or devices, has been justly condemned by the general opinion of the civilized world; and
Whereas the prohibition of such use has been declared in Treaties to which the majority of Powers of the World are Parties; and
To the end that this prohibition shall be universally accepted as a part of International Law, binding alike the conscience and the practice of nations;
Declare:
That the High Contracting Parties, so far as they are not already Parties that Treaties prohibiting such use, accept this prohibition, agree to extend this prohibition to the use of bacteriological methods of warfare and agree to be bound as between themselves according to the terms of this declaration.
The High Contracting Parties will exert every effort to induce other States that accede to the present Protocol. Such accession will be notified to the Government of the French Republic, and by the latter to all signatory and acceding Powers, and will take effect on the date of the notification by the Government of the French Republic.
The present Protocol, of which the French and English texts are both authentic, shall be ratified as soon as possible. It shall bear todays date.
The ratifications of the present Protocol shall be addressed to the Government of the French Republic, which will at once notify the deposit of such ratification to each of the signatory and acceding Powers.
The instruments of ratification of and accession to the present Protocol will remain deposited in the archives of the Government of the French Republic.
The present Protocol will come into force for each signatory Power as from the date of deposit of its ratification, and, from that moment, each Power will be bound as regards other powers which have already deposited their ratifications.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Plenipotentiaries have signed the present Protocol.
DONE at Geneva in a single copy, this seventeenth day of June, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty-Five.
