Evangelical church

Church of the Exaltation of the holy Cross

The exact date of the foundation of the church is not known, probably happened around the year 1587. The altarpiece dates from the year 1588 and the bell is from the year 1584. It was originally a protestant church, in 1654, then was collected in the framework of the catholic reformation of the principality of teschen. The church was not very richly equipped with, for example, the organ acquired in the year 1754. State of the church, however, time became less and less satisfactory, until they acceded to its dismantling and the position of the new, once again a wooden church. In the original church was the last holy mass properly 21. April 1897. For the consecration of the new church occurred 29. October 1899 vicar general by Karol Hudziecem of Fryštátu (today a district of Karviná). The original main altar became the altar side. Monument to the fallen of the 1. world war located in the grounds of the cemetery at the church of the Exaltation of the holy Cross. Origínál was revealed 1.
