His father was a municipal officer, he had 4 siblings.


After the general school applied to the school of air cadets - a special department in Prostějov


1935 he successfully finished the school of the Air cadets


1939 he escaped to Poland, and as the flier was from Gdynia ships delivered to France


after 1.9.1939 relegated to service as an aircraft mechanic, he served in operational squadrons


1940 after the defeat of France sails to England with the remnants of the retreating british units.
After the presentation at the czechoslovak. the army reported to the air force.
He was admitted to the RAF under the personal number 787 410 and relegated to the Czechoslovak air depot training for the on-board shooter


29.7.1940 after completion of the training to 311. czechoslovak bomber squadron, awarded to the british rank of sergeant RAF. Included in the operating crew on the function of the front of the shooter


to 16.10.1940 graduated from several air raids on the territory occupied by Germany


16.10.1940 when returning from a raid on Bremen was killed in the crash of the aeroplane Wellington KX-H, N2771 at Bentley Priory. Badly damaged aircraft with a malfunctioning radio and navigation device flew into the balloon qualifiers. Steel wire ropes separated the right wing from the fuselage and the aircraft crashed on the tennis court at the headquarters of the fighter force of the RAF. At the same time with him perished J.Matoušek, J. Weak, J. The hilarious and F. Zapletal. From the wreckage of the aircraft with severe burns liberated and saved by F. Carpenter, who a few days fought for his life in hospital. After two years in hospital he returned back to his unit.


On 21.10.1940 was buried at the new cemetery, Pinner, Harrow, Middlessex, a grave marked G-4-17. In 1990, he was promoted to lieutenant colonel im memoriam.
