Russia's Tobol (14Ц227 Tobol) anti-satellite weapons program is reportedly much more sophisticated than previously thought. This is what the editors of iDnes claim on the basis of a leaked report by a US intelligence agency.
According to the Topwar correspondent, Tobol system sets are located near Moscow, Kaliningrad and in Crimea. The aforementioned correspondent also reports that the Russian Federation also owns the Tirada-2S (Тирада-2С) system, so it is uncertain which one was used to jam the Starlink satellites.

Officers of the Special Operations Center "A" Security Service of Ukraine, who in the summer of 2022 made a significant contribution to the liberation of the island of Zmijnyj (45°15'17.99'N 30°12'12.42 "E), received awards from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. These awards were presented by its head Kyrylo Budanov.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted that the battle for the island and the return of the Ukrainian flag to it have become a symbol of Ukraine's victory over Russia at sea.
"The liberation of Smiyny is one of Ukraine's most important victories during the war with Russian invaders, which, among other things, allowed our state to secure Odesa and the Ukrainian Black Sea coast in general from existing threats and unblock commercial shipping. We all know this has been difficult. But thanks to the unity and cohesion of all the security and defence forces of Ukraine, especially the soldiers of the GUR and SBU, we have succeeded in what few believed. I am sure that it will be so until the complete victory over terrorist Russia," said Kyrylo Budanov.


SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk thanked GUR for cooperation and the "Alpha" special forces for their work in the hottest spots of the war. In particular, the fighters of the Special Operations Center "A" were part of the assault groups that landed on Smiyny Island from helicopters on 08.05.2022. Earlier, together with the GUR, they trained at one of the airfields in Odessa to make the planned special operation a success.


"SBU and GUR have developed and conducted many joint special operations that change the course of war. All of them are the result of our coordinated work and clear interaction. One of such important special operations is the liberation of Smiynyy Island, where we destroyed the invaders side by side. There are more than a dozen such examples. And I am sure there will be more! We are working with one goal, to clean our country from the invaders and achieve victory," said SBU head Vasyl Malyuk.
